September 28th 1970 – February 2nd 2017
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Dwayne Mackie. Dearly Loved by wife and best friend Melissa Mackie (nee Boyde), adoring father to Sarah Danielle, Hilary Victoria, and Laura Elizabeth, and fun loving Poppa of Blakely May.
Cherished son of Shirley and Alan Mackie of Oshawa. Dear ‘out-fished’ brother to Todd (Steph) Mackie of Toronto and Grandson of Betty Thomas of Toronto.
Much loved Son-in-law to Neil and Sandra Boyde of Courtice. Brother-in-law to Jody (Ken) Chapman of Courtice and Trevor (Shaina) Boyde of Bracebridge.
Missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Mad Ninja and skilled show-er off-er, Dwayne was the gentlest man whose great kindess and humour will forever be remembered.
He will be missed by many friends, but especially by his good fishing buddy Steve Tuck. Also by his work buddies and plumbing acquaintances that he made over his 25 year career at EMCO.
Much gratitude to first responders and for the love and support received from the team at Vincent Massey Public School.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for Laura Mackie. Donations can be made through Armstrong Funeral Home.
