Obituary for Diana Evelyn Mackie (Nobbin)
Mackie, Diana Evelyn –
Passed away peacefully, on Friday November 25th, 2016, surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Diana was in her 81st year.
Loving mother of her four boys Norm & Andrea, Paul & his wife Dianne, Dean and his wife Cindy and Scott & his wife Laura.
Loving grandmother of Jeff & his wife Carly (predeceased by her daughter-in-law Katherine Mackie), Michael, Ross, Melissa, Brooke Vukets & her husband Brett, Paul & Samantha, Stefani, Shawn & his wife Sarah, Sara, Brett & Meaghan, Matthew, Derek, Spencer and Summer. Loving great grandmother of James, Jaxon, Caleb, Hudson & Henry. Dear sister of Sydney Nobbin & his wife Sylvia and brother in law Joe Weinstock. Predeceased by her sister Patricia.
Diana was active in The Oshawa Little Theatre as a member of the Board of Directors and Pianist, an avid bridge player, and a member and secretary at St. Andrews United Church.
She treasured her times at the cottage and in Florida with her family and cherished friends. Above all, she loved her four boys.
A Funeral Service will be held at Armstrong Funeral Home Chapel, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday November 30th at 11am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 29th from 1pm to 4pm & 6pm to 9pm at Armstrong Funeral Home.
Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa Foundation or R. S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre would be graciously appreciated by the family.
